Greetings Friends,
Wow!
Here we are in October! Last week, our first fall course ended and our last Homeplace fall course started. This week, the Twin Cities Center launches VOBS' first ever virtual course, and in just over a week, our Texas team will embark on their first course of the year! We definitely have a reason to celebrate the season.
Thanks to our incredible crew, innovation is happening in all parts of our organization. Virtual programming is a new and necessary frontier for VOBS. This is an historic moment. All of our virtual partners have collaborated with us for in-person programming in the past, and we are honored they are trusting us to pilot this new adventure with their students. Thanks to the Twin Cities Center team, we plan to start serving just under 100 students virtually over the next three months. VOBS will deliver four one-hour modules for
connection, community and belonging. The big goal is to give students a safe space and the tools to connect and discover strength and purpose.
I am so proud of our team. Everyone made a contribution to help us achieve lift off this fall. Please join us in extending a special thanks to our Program Teams, Admissions Teams, and our field staff!
Yours in adventure,
Jack Lee Executive Director Voyageur Outward Bound School

Like our students, we do not build a more compassionate and resilient world alone; we build the future together. This
year has been very tough, but it has taught us that every individual can make a contribution to solve problems, achieve goals and pursue dreams. Join our crew. Make a contribution. Lead with compassion to help young people lead with compassion.
Together, we can build a more resilient and compassionate world. Help us reach our $1.8M goal for 2020!
In so many ways! As a former staff member, I learned how to navigate difficult challenges and work through them. I learned the meaning of showing compassion and understanding. I learned leadership isn't always being the most vocal, instead it means being a servant leader and serving others with my skills.
We change lives through challenge and discovery, so we hear inspiring stories from the trail every day! Here are just a few that we've shared with the VOBS community recently:
Are you making change and finding inspiration in your community? We'd love to hear from you. Fill out this easy form
