The leaves have turned and are starting to fall here in Minnesota. There's a crispness in the air hinting towards chillier weather and a change in season.
This month we have nine program partners in the thick of their Insight Programs through the Twin Cities, our fall season in Texas kicks off
with students backpacking in Big Bend and whitewater canoeing on the Rio Grande, and our Homeplace team are wrapping up some projects while some of our favorite crew members, the VOBS dogs, start training for the winter season.

This backpacking expedition centers on the idea that living a balanced, satisfying, exciting life is not a matter of chance, but requires periodic examination and fine-tuning. And what better time to do this than the start of a new year!
This school year,
VOBS partners with nine community organizations to work with 160 students for belonging, strength and purpose. TCC Instructors and students will share nearly 100 days of adventure learning this school year. Each of our nine community partners signed on with VOBS for a six part Insight Series for students. The Insight Series takes students on a progression of single day, near wilderness learning adventures over six months, exploring Outward Bound’s Domains of Thriving through challenging, hands-on, in-person experiences. Each Insight Day takes place during school hours at a nearby urban/suburban park or venue.
