This spring certainly brought truth to the saying, "April showers brings May flowers!" We've had to remain flexible and adaptable (two very common Outward Bound course themes) as we dealt with this unruly weather!
But alas, the lilacs have started to bloom, the leaves have all come in, and we are ramping up to jump full force into training season for our field staff!
It's our favorite time of year as we welcome new crew and are reunited with old friends and we to prepare for an incredible summer season!

THINGS WE LOVE:
May's Legendary Voyageur: Ann Bancroft - Polar explorer; first female to reach both the North Pole, 1986 and South Pole, 1993; one of the first females to cross Antarctica, 2001. First woman to reach the North Pole on foot and by sled, plus, she's from MN! Check out her current expedition.
"We all have a responsibility to our community. Jean carried us forward, with one segment of our population and we deserve to try to make Outward Bound available for all. I think this is something that we all hold in our hearts. It is very much our intent to continue Jean's good work and try to expand that out to even more people." -- Suellen Sack, Director of Open Enrollment and Safety
