Attention Partner Organizations, Students and Families!

VOBS is launching a scholarship opportunity for students in our partner schools, colleges and youth-serving nonprofits.
THE VOBS SCHOLAR PORTAL
We love working with our partner organizations and delivering custom programs for groups of students, but sometimes individual students can't join these programs, and sometimes they have such a great Outward Bound experience, they want a bigger challenge!

Now VOBS is offering individual students an opportunity to become a VOBS SCHOLAR and go on a longer wilderness leadership expedition (trip) of their choice for FREE!
Who can become a VOBS Scholar and enroll tuition free?
  • Students of color and/or economic need
  • Ages 13 and up
  • Enrolled in VOBS partner schools, colleges or youth-serving organizations (you'll see your school or org listed in the Portal)
How do I become a VOBS Scholar?

  • The Portal provides step-by-step directions to sign-up.

  • Your course is free, and there's no enrollment fee either.
  • Scholarships are first-come, first-served, so sign up early.
  • No experience necessary. Seriously.
  • Don't have gear? Don't worry, VOBS has you covered.
Where do courses take place?
  • Your adventure will take place in an amazing wilderness area-- choose from locations in Minnesota or Texas.
