By the time this summer is over (which is only a few short weeks away!), more than 600 students will go Outward Bound with VOBS. Close to 300 of those students will go Outward Bound tuition-free. Students will have traveled miles to reach us and they'll travel miles with us. They will have paddled the lakes of
the Boundary Waters and the St. Croix Riverway, backpacked the beautiful trails of the Superior Hiking Trail, and sea kayaked across the incredible waters of Lake Superior.
And through all those activities and miles travelled, students will find companionship. They'll find both mental and physical strength. They'll see growth in themselves and their crewmates. And they'll find something in themselves,
something they sometimes didn't even know they possessed.
While summer is coming to a close, the students will carry these experiences with them as they return home. They'll bring what they learned back to their communities and find new ways to apply the skills they learned while Outward Bound. And that, is the greatest adventure yet.
